Lauren Boebert’s sobbing son called 911 claiming father was ‘throwing’ him around the house: report

Rep. Lauren Boebert’s son called 911 last year claiming that his soon-to-be-divorced father, Jayson, was “throwing” him around their Colorado home — before calling back a second time to deny the argument ever turned physical, according to a report.

The Dec. 11 phone call came about four months before Boebert, 36, filed for divorce from her husband of 18 years, with whom she shares four sons, citing “irreconcilable difference.”

According to an audio recording of the call obtained by Business Insider, the Colorado Republican congresswoman’s son called police around 6:46 p.m. and told the dispatcher through sobs that his father was “throwing me around.”

“He called me a psycho, when he’s the,” he added, struggling to speak before fading out.

It’s not clear which of her sons had called.

The female dispatcher told the boy not to worry and said the police would be at the house shortly.

She also asked if there were any weapons in the house, according to the recording.

“I mean, there are weapons in the house, yeah, but I don’t think he’d use them on me,” the crying son responded.

“He just does this to me so much.”

He said he was in the driveway but that his mom was “staying down at the farmhouse because there’s problems” with her and his father.

“I’m going down there where he can’t get to me,” he said.

Less than five minutes later, the teen called police back.

A woman can be heard yelling in the background, Business Insider reported.

“All I wanted to say is me and my dad were starting to yell. He didn’t really get physical with me,” the teen began telling the same dispatcher before Lauren snatched the phone from him and got on the line.

She identified herself as “the mom.”

Lauren and Jayson Boebert
Boebert announced last week that she and her husband, Jayson, would be splitting after 18 years of marriage.

“OK. There was an argument over dinner. I understand you guys got to come and talk to them,” said the congresswoman, adding that she was with her son “down at our second location.”

“Just to let you know, I have him,” she told the dispatcher.

“His dad’s at the house.”

The dispatcher told the Republican lawmaker that she had sent deputies to the address to make sure her son did not need help.

“He doesn’t need help, but yeah, they can come here,” she responded.

In a statement provided to The Post, Rep. Boebert admitted the family has been through some rough patches.

“The safety and well-being of my family are the most important things in the world to me. We’ve had some tough times and heartache. I’ve taken action to ensure there are better days ahead for all of us,” she said.

According to Business Insider, police wrote in an incident log that Jayson Boebert got into a verbal argument with his son and told him to go down to the farmhouse to be with his mother.

Jayson Boebert and his son denied there was a physical altercation when police showed up at their home.

He said he never hit his son, but said it’s possible the door could have “touched his butt on the way out,” according to the document.

Police wrote in the log that the boy, who was clearly upset, said he “started yelling at his dad first and his dad wasn’t physical.”

The teen had no physical marks on his body, and he said he “wasn’t sure why he said that his dad hurt him.”

Jayson Boebert was cooperative, and no crime was committed, police concluded.

The father told Business Insider that “nothing physical” happened that night and that after an argument, he told his son to go down to the farmhouse, which is about 400 yards from the main home, to cool off.

“He overreacted. We’re back to being a family,” Boebert told the outlet.

He said if he disciplines his children, he makes them do pushups or run laps — but does not hit them.

“Every teenage boy is going to want to test the bull,” he said, noting that all their sons went through a phase in their teens where they disagreed with their dad.

“We’ve gotten over it.”

Last week, the far-right sophomore congresswoman confirmed that she would be separating from her husband.

The two were married in 2005.

“It is with a heavy weight on my heart that I have filed for divorce from my husband. I am grateful for our years of marriage together and for our beautiful children, all of whom deserve privacy and love as we work through this process,” Boebert said in a statement to The Post.

Boerbert’s husband, Jayson, was irate after he was served divorce papers, according to an affidavit.

In an affidavit obtained by The Post, a process server claimed that Jayson Boebert became “extremely angry” when he realized he was being served with divorce papers after the official filing on April 25, and even sicced his dogs on the employee.

The affidavit said he was drinking a beer and cleaning a gun at the time.

“He started yelling and using profanities, and told me that I was trespassing, and that he was calling the Sheriff’s Office. I told him I was leaving the documents on the chair outside of the door, he closed the door then let the dogs out,” the server wrote.

Both Lauren and Jayson Boebert have denied the server’s account of what happened.

Boebert and her husband have had several run-ins with the law, including a couple of domestic incidents when they were still dating.

In February 2004, Jayson was booked on a domestic violence charge against his future wife after he “did unlawfully strike, shove or kick … and subjected her to physical contact,” a spokesman for the Garfield associate county court clerk told The Post.

Jayson Boebert ultimately served seven days in jail for the incident.

Then in May 2004, the couple got into an altercation at Jayson’s home in which Lauren scratched his face and chest and trashed his residence, according to a police report.

She was slapped with third-degree assault, criminal mischief and underage drinking charges.
